I went to Harris Teeter last week for my first coupon shopping trip. I think I did pretty good considering it was my first time. I will do things a little different the next time though. First of all I won't go right after work (what was I thinking?!) everyone and there mom was there shopping too. I need to go in the morning. I was in the check out line FOREVER. I also need to go when Ronin isn't a crabby patty. He was whiney pretty much the entire time and it was hard for me to dig through my coupon book, look at my list and tend to the crying baby trying to climb out of the cart. I also see the value in Farm Fresh's Wednesday double coupon day. They double coupons up to a $1.00 and Harris Teeter only does it to $0.99. I had a bunch of $1 coupons that couldn't get doubled. So my total bill was $154.75, with coupons and VIC specials I saved $57.34 bringing it down to $97.41. Not too shabby for a first timer.

Oh and on a side note...Ronin took his first 2 steps yesterday!! We had people over for a bbq last night and we're all in the living room talking and all of a sudden he takes 2 steps! I screamed for Danny to come in (he was in the kitchen) but he missed it. He was so upset lol. We tried to get him to do it again but of course he didn't. He's been standing up by himself alot more lately, any day now and I'll have a walker!
